Fingerprints

Fingerprints

Where did they go,
all those years.
As hair turned grey.
And smiles became fine lines.

Where did they go,
all those years.
When careers took hold.
When dreams really did come true.

Where did they go,
All those years,
When friendships waned.
Sometimes to be rekindled.
Sometimes not.
Some lost forever.

Where did they go,
all those years,
When fathers died.
And mothers stayed strong.
Children left home,
Some never to be seen again.

You can’t stop time.
So embrace every moment
Plan your way forward.
Look back and see.

And leave tiny prints
Tiny footprints, or fingerprints.
So that when you are pushing up the daisies
You have left your mark.
You have left your story.

About Me

Where do I begin?

I never stand still. I’m always looking for the next adventure; the next opportunity, and undeniably they come my way. I never give up; well not easily, and I strive to make the world a better place. Occasionally, I bring others along for the ride.

Why not join me?
