Haiku poetry - the seasons

Haiku poetry consists of 3 lines.

17 syllables – 5-7-5.

My First Haiku

Bitter cold; draw close.
Snow falls silently; holds time.
The night black as coal.

Seasons

Winter calls; beckons.
Spring, fresh as the morning dew.
Summer; a new dawn.

Autumn

Autumn; embracing.
Russet brown, reds; leaves falling.
Crisp morning air. Still.

Spring

Chilly nights. Warm days.
Spring has arrived. Gloves; scarves, off.
Summer is calling.

Summer

Warm days; sultry nights.
Bees buzz. Pollinate. Give life.
Cloudless, blue skies. Bliss!

Winter

Silent shrouds of snow.
Gently falling, wraps its peace
All round you. Surreal.

Women Stand Alone

Women stand alone.
Men beaten by the horror.
Lives lost; forever.

Don’t Leave Me

Please; don’t leave me here.
To the ravages of time.
Please; take me with you.

About Me

Where do I begin?

I never stand still. I’m always looking for the next adventure; the next opportunity, and undeniably they come my way. I never give up; well not easily, and I strive to make the world a better place. Occasionally, I bring others along for the ride.

Why not join me?
