Nature
Nature is a fundamental aspect of human life. As are the
beautiful creatures that live within this diverse, frequently
threatened world. Even the humble spider, which causes
many to shudder simply at the thought, is important for
nature to flourish.
Nature presents an eclectic arena of possibilities. It
reduces sadness, encourages opportunity, makes the
world feel a better place.
Bees, wasps, insects, butterflies and our tiny birds make
up the biodiverse nature of our world. Take care of them,
shield them and protect them where you can.
Making comparisons with our world and the natural world
is crucial to understanding the meaning of life. Again, take
the story of the spider, whose habitat in recent years has
been destroyed by the demolition programme of back to
back houses, the cellars providing sanctuary for these not
so often, meek arachnids. And whilst we may easily argue
that ridding the country of this inadequate housing is
good, by demolishing these homes and using more of the
green belt land to build increasingly more houses, are we
simply solving one problem, whilst inadvertently creating
another?
