Not our fault

Applaud the decision makers,
for they control our lives.
We should be grateful,
we’re taking the easy way out.
We can’t be blamed for what is happening.
Not our fault.

Why not rebuild the old stock left derelict for years.
Build on the brown belt land. There is plenty.

Of course, no one wants that.
They want to build on green belt.
Where they can make the biggest killing.
Greed, yet again, wins out.
Profit before humans.
Not something new. Is it?
