Nurture the flowers
The winds and rain beat down on our beautiful roses. Our
beautiful summer flowers. They remain stoical against
the might of the weather; the prevailing westerly winds.
Battered and bruised they will resurface again, but this
time a little wearier. A little less strong. Soon they will give
up the ghost. Give up the fight.
Their weather-beaten faces remind me to make the most
of the flowers. To save them from the elements. Nurture
them back to life in the harshest of the winter months. We
need nature as much as nature needs us. Treat her with
respect or face the consequences.
