The memorial

Today, there stands a memorial to those who lost their lives. It stands stoic in the place where the school once stood. Testament to those who suffered. Testament to the years lost. Testament to the lives of those, who, through no fault of their own, became victims of a great tragedy. Who never had the chance to grow up. To grow old. To have their own children. Grandchildren.

New and future generations will work to keep this haven a place of natural beauty.
One which will forever live in the hearts and minds of the people of Aberfan.
In the hearts of a nation.
