The night sky

Deep clouds race on, lit by the moon’s vivid glow.
Stars lustrous against the backdrop of the raven sky.
Peace ascends, as night gains pace.

Unusual to see stars in our light
polluted towns and cities.
Not here in our pretty village,
where time simply stands still.

How sad, we no longer see these
most precious of nature’s riches.
What can we do without?
What do we need to?
